“O Come Let Us Adore
Him” -- Boys and girls, that's a line from “O Come All Ye
Faithful”, a favorite Christmas Carol that we sing each year. What does it
mean?
When we adore something,
we recognize how special it is and we put it before everything else. We give it
special attention. It's likely your parents
adore you. You are special to them and they put you before other things they
could be doing.
The Christmas Carol is of
course talking about Jesus Christ. We celebrate His birth at this time of year
and we should certainly adore Him.
AWANA clubbers, let's take
time this Christmas to adore Him! Let's try to think about Him more than
anything else this Christmas. Oh, I know it's a lot of fun to get Christmas
gifts! I like to get them and open them too, but let's not forget the reason for
Christmas and the greatest gift ever given, Jesus Christ!
He was born to die on the
cross for our sins and He died that so we could live forever. He is the greatest
gift ever given!
O Come Let Us Adore Him!
Merry Christmas AWANA Clubbers!
