CHILDREN'S MINISTRIES

Nursery –
We provide a nursery for babies and toddlers through age 2 during all regularly
scheduled services. This gives parents an opportunity to experience and enjoy
the worship services, with the assurance of knowing that their children are
being looked after by a caring group of ladies. All families are provided with a
beeper and the nursery worker will “buzz” you if your assistance is needed
at any time. Tricia Patton serves as our Nursery Coordinator. She maintains periodic
in-service meetings with all nursery workers to ensure that they are aware of
current procedures and any new training. Our Nursery can always use more
volunteers. If you are interested, please let Tricia or the Church office know.
Children’s / Junior Church – On Sunday mornings, children have their own worship service - customized just for them. We offer Bible lessons, singing, and craft time, so our children learn and fellowship in an age-appropriate environment. Christie Caldwell is the Bible lesson leader for Children’s Church (ages 3 through 1st Grade). Rodney Pruden teaches the Bible lessons for Junior Church (2nd Grade - 6th Grade). Theresa Whitener heads up a craft time for all the children.
Sunday Evening Classes – We also provide special instruction for our children during the Sunday evening worship service. Sarah Frazer offers a class for kids (preschool – 1st Grade), while Jackie Jenkins teaches a class for students in the 2nd – 6th Grade. This time is devoted to giving these young people another opportunity to hear God’s word on their level.
