Frosty focus

We maintained a “frosty focus” on the church activities of February 2008.  The major highlight was our annual AWANA Grand Prix, which took place on February 23 at Bridgeview Elementary gym.  For official racing results and photos, click here.

The AWANA leaders also offered additional Saturday workshops on February 9 and 16, to get several cars ready for the big event.  

February 17th’s morning service featured a message from guest speaker Jeff Jenkins and several musical numbers performed by the Joyful Ringers, while Missionary Gary Layne preached and updated us on the deaf ministry in Mexico during the evening service.     

Regularly scheduled gatherings were held on Mondays for our Ladies’ Bible Study group and Men’s Volleyball group. Monthly meetings also took place for the Men’s Monthly Bible Study (February 2) and the Lucia Missionary Circle (February 6). The T.E.L. Sunday School Class met for a lunch at Little Creek Country Club on February 19. The BYKOTA Sunday School Class met for a get together following the February 24th evening service.
