We love our music at Spring Hill Baptist Church! Whether it’s a favorite song in our hymnal or an offertory solo on the piano, we recognize how the Lord can use music to praise His glorious name.
Psalm 105:1-3 O give thanks
unto the Lord; call upon His name: make known His deeds among the people. Sing
unto Him, sing psalms unto Him: talk ye of all His wondrous works. Glory ye in
His holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the Lord.

Chancel Choir –Tim
Whitener directs one of the most dedicated groups in our church. Our 40-member
ensemble is also blessed to have Beth Pauley and Marie Terry as pianists, while
Peggy Bailey plays the organ and Sarah Frazer accompanies us on electronic
keyboard. In addition to singing
regularly during the Sunday morning and evening worship services, the choir
typically performs a musical cantata for both Christmas and Easter. The
choir regularly meets on Sunday evenings at 4:30 to rehearse (sometimes earlier, if
we are practicing for a special event, like a cantata). Current

Joyful Ringers (Handbell
Choir) – Bells began ringing for this ministry in 2002. Under the leadership
of Director Tim Whitener, this group has grown - in both number and experience,
as they perform periodically during our worship services. The Joyful Ringers
have also played concerts at other churches in the area and benefited greatly
from the 2008 Greater Kanawha Valley Handbell Festival. The Joyful Ringers practice on Monday evenings at 5:45 in the

Special
Music – We have so many talented people in our
congregation who want to express their praise through music. In fact, the number
of people willing to contribute has increased so much that we set aside a
regular time in our Sunday services to allow for this ministry of music. These
individuals range from vocalists to instrumentalists. Various vocal groups
within our choir (duos, trios, quartets and ensembles) are also frequent
participants. Tim Whitener coordinates and schedules the special music list on a
quarterly basis. Beth Pauley also
organizes the Annual Fall Music Festival in our church during the month of
