Spring in
our Steps
We put some “spring in our steps” in March 2008. Faced
with an early Easter and a clock adjustment for Daylight Savings Time, our
church enjoyed several activities that kept us hopping throughout the entire
month.
One major event was the Area
Teens Involved competition (an all-day event held at SHBC on March 15).

highlight was the beautiful message of our Easter cantata –
“Amazing Grace: My Chains Are Gone” – performed on March 23 by the
church choir.
Ana McNally’s Juniors Sunday School class impressed us all during the evening service of March 9 by reciting Bible verses from Isaiah 55:3-6 from memory. On March 13, our handbells received a professional tune-up and now sound better than ever. The congregation was also updated on March 16 about certain steps being considered by our leadership concerning future plans with our church facilities.
Mike Steadman presented a devotion during March 26's mid-week service. We also fed ourselves "fried chicken and fixings" at the 5th Sunday Fellowship on March 30.
